Fine quality mid 19th century large Chinese bronze vase,c1850. Large and heavy at 2.3kg this is an impressive vase that would grace any home. The design and casting is very good with a large central flower in relief and a butterfly to one side. The body and rim are shaped to look like an opening flower and there are character marks to the base. The bronze has taken on great colour/patina following many years of handling. Overall condition is good with only very minor surface wear as you would expect from a piece of this age.
