An outstanding and very substantial replica of the Sphinx of Giza, circa. third quarter of the 20th Century.
Probably reconstituted marble, the figure is striking with crisp detailing and excellent proportions. There are some small areas of wear commensurate with age but generally the piece remains in a very good condition throughout.
