Victorian Landscape Oil Painting of the Isle of Man by Franz Hoepfner

Description

An excellent Victorian oil painting of a cottage at Ballanard, Isle of Man by artist Franz Hoepfner (1840-1893). Frank Hoepfner moved to England after serving in the Franco-Prussian war and after marrying in Bristol in 1879, he moved to and settled on The Isle of Man. This is a fine example of his work, beautifully framed and mounted. Signed lower left.

Examples of his work can be found in the Manx Musuem and Government House, Isle of Man.

This is one a pair, which we can offer singularly at £350 or the pair at £625.
