Description

A 19th Century French Painted Bed of Large Size with Caned Detailing.

This fine bed is made in the Louis XVI manner and has been finely carved with decorative details such as the guilloche motif used on the horizontal sections of the frame and the sunflower paterae and harebells on the pilasters. The frame of the piece is caned throughout. The bed retains its original painted finish. Standing on fluted legs.

This bed is five feet wide and is an elegant and practical piece, sturdy and ready to be placed.
