Alfred DUBUCAND (1828-1894) was a noted French sculptor who specialised in small-scale works of the ‘animalier’ movement. He studied under the “master” Antoine-Louis Barye, and became highly successful ~ his work being popular and often exhibited at the Salon in Paris.
