1852-1952, ‘It was thin red line of ‘eroes when the guns began to shoot’ and ‘We fights with machine guns tail down in the dirt.’ after Rudyard Kipling, ‘R. K. Modified’, Greetings cards (rare), circa 1952, initialled ‘S’ and inscribed in pencil, printed in monochrome, in a later mount and a later ebonised frame.
In his later years, Snaffles turned his hand to Christmas and Greetings cards; some reminiscent of his earlier print subjects, all typically characterful, and with a certain charm.
