Once assembled this English king size bed is absolutely rock solid, complete with all its iron bolts. The head and foot boards are well panelled and moulded as is the oak roof. To the base are a pair of well turned foot posts with a moulded cornice all the way around. Very high quality build, would cost a fortune to have this made now. What is lovely about this solid English oak bed is that it is quite plain with no carvings, so would suit a period home as well as a modern home. This vintage solid oak bed takes a standard UK King size mattress and it comes with the original divan base. Just needs a mattress. In excellent condition and a good, pale oak colour.
