18ct Gold Antique George V Sovereign Case - 1912

Description

A wonderful antique George V 18 carat gold Sovereign case which has a plain circular body and a gold ring attachment at the top so that it can be worn if so desired. There is a push button mechanism to open the lid which reveals a spring section to house the Sovereigns, which is still in excellent working order. Rarely does one find an 18ct gold Sovereign case of this quality and condition. It would make a useful addition to a collection.

Height: 4.4 cms (1.7")

Diameter: 2.9 cms (1.1")

Weight: 23 grams

It was hallmarked in Birmingham for 1912 by Horace Woodward & Co. Ltd.
