Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Twentieth-century figurative nude artwork often focuses on form, texture, and emotional expression rather than idealised classicism. Artists frequently employed bold brushwork, impasto technique, and muted earth tones to depict human anatomy in everyday, unposed settings.

These works typically utilise oil-based pigments applied to stretched linen or cotton canvas, sometimes mounted on wooden stretcher bars. Frames from this era vary from painted timber to carved gesso mouldings designed to complement the artworks colour scheme.

Authenticity can be verified by examining artist signatures, canvas weave, natural craquelure, and backing labels. Professional inspection of paint layers, impasto surface texture, and historical provenance also provides clear evidence of origin.

Displaying a textured figure study against dark panelled walls, muted plaster finishes, or minimalist backdrops allows the rich earth tones to stand out. Pairing the painting with classic wooden furniture or contemporary lighting creates a refined gallery effect.

Maintain the painting in a stable room temperature environment away from direct sunlight, dampness, and heat sources. Clean the surface gently using a soft, dry camel-hair brush to prevent dust accumulation without damaging the delicate paint surface.
