Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco champagne buckets from this era typically exhibit clean geometric forms, reeded or engine-turned detailing, and streamlined handles. Designed for functional luxury, they balance understated elegance with balanced proportions and reflective metal finishes.

Mid-century French wine coolers were commonly produced in high-grade silver plate over base metals such as brass or nickel silver. The manufacturing process often involved heavy gauge spinning, lathe-turned reeding, and cast metal handles electroplated for durability.

Authentic pieces are identified by stamped makers marks, hallmarks, or initials near the rim or base indicating the manufacturer and metal quality. Further indicators include substantial weight, crisp geometric moulding, and hand-finished soldering on the handles.

A pair of silver champagne buckets can be displayed symmetrically on a dining room sideboard, marble console table, or open bar cart. When not holding iced bottles, they can serve as decorative vessels for seasonal floral displays or operate as focal barware accents.

Clean silver-plated barware using a soft sponge with mild soapy water, followed by immediate drying with a microfibre cloth to prevent water spots. Periodically apply a specialist silver polish with a soft cotton pad to remove tarnish, avoiding abrasive cleansers that could wear away the silver plating.
