French Gilded Bronze Letter Opener

1900 - 1920
Description

A beautifully detailed French gilded bronze letter opener signed A Gangand.

I believe this may have been designed and made to commemorate WW1 and is circa 1919.

The design is made up two swords (bayonets) one down each side, a military hat towards the top (Kepi) and intertwined with leaves.

Signed to the reverse.

Excellent condition.
