Antique French Oak Armoire with Hanging Rail

Dimensions:W: 148cm (58.3")H: 238cm (93.7")D: 51cm (20.1")

Stunning early 19th century French wedding armoire in excellent condition.

It dates from around 1830.

These armoires were given to married couples on their wedding day for them to store all their beautiful monogrammed linen.

It has been professionally stripped and bleached to reveal the natural grain of the antique oak.

It has lots of absolutely gorgeous, hand carved detail to its doors, domed crest, sides and lovely Louis XV feet.

It is plenty deep enough to hang clothes and has a hanging rail with a shelf above.

It has its lovely original brass hinges, escutcheons and key.

It will be dismantled in several pieces for delivery and can easily be reassembled by two people using the instructions we provide.
