Superb Antique Copper French Grape Hod

1900 - 1920
Description

This was a most exciting find!! A wonderful antique French copper grape hod, complete with leather back straps. The tapering shaped hod has a high back, rolled rim and decorative dragooned border.

The condition is good, there is a small hole to the back, this is high up, cannot be seen from the front, does not detract from the appearance and unless the purchaser intends to fill with liquid, is of no aesthetic consequence.

This is a superb, unusual and highly decorative rare item. It would be excellent for holding logs, filled with a dried floral arrangement, an attractive stick stand or just

displayed as is.
