Antique Victorian Mahogany Double Wardrobe Compactum C1850 Wdb6214/4.1

Lovely antique early victorian mahogany double wardrobe and dating form aorund 1850. Constructed from quality solid mahogany it has a cornice top above a deep mahogany frieze with two arched panelled doors with carved corbal mounts to either side and original mahogany knob handle. Internally there is a brass hanging rail and hooks to one side with a shaped frieze to the top that folds out revealing further brass hooks for hanging (see photo). To the other side there are a set of six original mahogany sliding trays which of course could easily be removed if further hanging space were required. There is a drawer to the base which is mahogany lined with original mahogany moulded and carved handles and it stands on a deep plinth base and separates for ease of transporting.

In very good condition with lovely grain and deep colour and patination to the mahogany oozing the charm and character of the victorian period.
