Quality Georgian Mahogany Chest on Chest / Antique Tall Boy

This late 18th Century Georgian Mahogany Chest on Chest / Antique Tall Boy dates from ca.1800 and has wonderful charm and character. It has a moulded cornice above two over six graduating drawers with brass swan neck handles. This quality antique chest stands on shaped bracket feet and the chest splits into two sections for easy removal. The sides are canted with fine inlay on the upper section and this fine antique country chest, has the usual old repairs consistent with age and use, giving great character and authenticity. The mahogany on this Georgian chest of drawers has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of antique wax finishing.
