How do I use a writing slope?

Open the hinged box and fold down the two halves to form an inclined plane covered in leather. The interior compartments hold pens, ink, and stationery while you write. Secure the writing surface back into its box configuration when finished. This locks the internal compartments and protects your writing materials during storage.

What are secret drawers for?

Secret drawers provide a concealed space for storing private letters, money, or small valuables. They usually require a hidden release catch or the removal of another drawer to open. Cabinetmakers incorporated these hidden compartments as a standard feature in finer boxes to add security and craftsmanship value.

Can I place a writing slope on any desk?

Writing slopes sit easily upon standard tables, sideboards, or desks to create an instant writing station. Their flat bases allow stable placement without permanent installation. You can move the box from room to room depending on where you prefer to write.
