Satinwood Storage Chest
A satinwood storage chest brings pale, figured timber and fine period craftsmanship into a room.
Satinwood Storage Chest
A satinwood storage chest spans several centuries of design, appearing across George III, Regency, Victorian, and Edwardian periods.
The form encompasses chests of drawers, bow-fronted pieces, tallboys, linen presses, and smaller tea caddies or teapoys.
Edwardian interpretations and 19th-century examples dominate the selections, alongside earlier Georgian iterations.
Assessing the pieces
The refinement of the timber figure and the precision of the inlay separate standard examples from finer works.
Original hardware, handles, and internal components influence the integrity of chests of drawers and dressing tables.
