Surface: Paper

Artist and signature: Signed E W COOKE Lower RH corner. Although we have no provenance, we believe this to be the work of Edward William Cooke RA 1811–1880

Approximate age of artwork: Dated 1865

Depiction or Location: Lovely historical view of Whitby Harbour and Abbey

Is the artwork Framed or Mounted: Mounted, as shown

Condition report: Considered to be in fair condition in line with age. There are some paper repairs verso and some burn marks are evident although theses have been sympathetically restored.
