Description

An interesting oil on canvas portrait of a girl with a turban. She is possibly from Santorini or the Italian/Greek islands. It may well be inspired by the portrait of Beatrice Cenci by Elisabetta Sirani . Well painted and attractive. The canvas is mounted in the incorrect frame but is fitted well. The frame is 19thC and the canvas possibly older (wormed but treated). Unsigned.
