Description

Large early C20th oil painting on canvas of a sheepdog in an open landscape. The dog being nicely detailed and coloured standing with an inquisitive endearing expression and her ears being slightly tipped. Mounted in a Large oak concave frame with reeded front mould and gilt inner slip. In good original condition with no repairs or damage. 

Signed A. Caullet alongside the date 1917 and the inscription "Lise," which is the name of the dog. 

Albert Caullet (1875–1950) was a Belgian Painter, Draughtsman and watercolourist.
