SEVEN COPPERPLATE ENGRAVINGS OF ARTISTS FROM - SERIES OF PORTRAITS OF EXCELLENT PAINTERS PAINTED BY THERE OWN HAND.

This formed part of the celebrated Museum Florentinum.

Published in: Florence, Italy, between 1752 and 1762

Publisher / Author: Francesco Moücke and Anton Francesco Gori

Designers & Engravers: Drawn primarily by Giovanni Domenico Campiglia after self-portraits housed in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, and engraved by artists such as Antonio Pazzi, Carlo Gregori, and Gennaro Corsi.

Each print depicts a famous Italian Renaissance or Mannerist/Baroque artist (with their Latinised name and profession, e.g., PICTOR for painter):

Top Center: Cherubino Alberti (Cherubino Alberti, painter & engraver)

Middle Row (Left to Right): Lattanzio Gambara (Lattanzio Gambara, painter) Lavinia Fontana (Lavinia Fontana, famous female Renaissance painter) Jacopo Palma / Palma il Giovane (Iacobi Palma, Jacopo Palma the Younger)
