Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco sculptures, prominent during the 1920s and 1930s, are characterised by sleek geometric lines, stylised human forms, and influences from cubism, ancient Egyptian art, and modern industrial design.

Authentic period pieces were typically produced using the lost-wax casting method (cire perdue), utilising high-grade bronze alloys finished with chemical patination and frequently mounted on marble or onyx bases.

Authenticity is determined by examining foundry marks, artist signatures, casting quality, the weight and depth of the metal patina, and signs of age-appropriate oxidisation and wear beneath the base.

Placing a bronze figure on a mantelpiece, bookshelf, or executive desk introduces sculptural depth, historical contrast, and refined textural interest to contemporary living spaces.

Bronze should be dusted gently with a soft microfiber cloth and occasionally treated with microcrystalline wax to protect the patination from moisture and handling oils, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners entirely.
