The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is stamped HJ Co, presumably the mark of the original retailer. The movement is protected by an inner cover.
The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop.

The bezel has one small mark but is in good condition. The side of the watch has a few gentle bruises. The hinged case back has engine turned detail, some rubbing towards the outside but not too detrimental.

The glass lens is in good condition.
The dial has a small chip to the centre but otherwise is in lovely condition. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
