Description

"Gretna Green" or "The Red Hot Marriage" is a fine quality mezzotint with original hand colour. It was published May 1794 by Laurie & Whittle, 53, Fleet Street, London.

Below is the inscription "Oh! Mr. Blacksmith ease our Pains and Tie us first in Wedlock Chains".

The picture measures 14" x 10". It is in a nice old maple frame giving an overall size of 19"x 15".
