Description

A handsome 18th century 3 drawer commode, this French Louis XVI piece has a shallow top drawer and the original brass fittings. It stands on arrow feet, with fluted columns above the front legs. The loose marble top is grey with white veining and has a brass edging and gallery. An attractive piece and a true antique, this will provide a good display surface together with plenty of storage.

Dating to circa 1790, this is made of mahogany and marble, and originates from France.

In good age related condition, there is a small sectional repair to the brass gallery at the back of the marble and the brass edging on the right side is slightly loose. Locks are present, but no key is available.
