Leeds Antiques has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
With oblong shaped top with fine moulded edge and cornice. Over bank of drawers configured 3 small drawers over 3 full width drawers, all graduated in height, with cock-beaded edges, strung inlaid border on the front, original brass double swan neck handles, brass escutcheons, locks and working key. Flanked by narrow quarter columns, moulded base and raised on bracket feet.

A very handsome chest of drawers, of slightly below average size. Sympathetically restored, and in a very good condition, ready for use.

This chest of drawers measures approximately 88 cm (34.5") tall, 96.5 cm (38") wide, and 52 cm (20.5") deep.

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This chest of drawers is in a very good condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally very sound and sturdy. Some minor marks and blemishes, in keeping with age and use. All original hardware. Working key. Recently sympathetically restored. Slightly faded to the front of the carcass, the drawer fronts, top and sides with good colour. In good working order, very serviceable and ready to use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
