George III Mahogany Straight Front Chest Of Drawers (georgian)

A George III period, chest of drawers, Circa 1780. This straight fronted chest of drawers is constructed in solid mahogany with pine dividers and drawer linings. With oblong shaped top with fine moulded edge and cornice. Over bank of drawers configured 3 small drawers over 3 full width drawers, all graduated in height, with cock-beaded edges, strung inlaid border on the front, original brass double swan neck handles, brass escutcheons, locks and working key. Flanked by narrow quarter columns, moulded base and raised on bracket feet.
 
A very handsome chest of drawers, of slightly below average size. Sympathetically restored, and in a very good condition, ready for use.
