A wonderful early 18th Century Mahogany Chest Of Drawers of outstanding colour and patina. The handles are of the period and untouched, we believe they were replaced shortly after the piece was made as there are some small fastening marks from a snipe type fixing visible only inside the drawer fronts.
The superbly coloured top with ogee moulding to the edge sits above two short and three long graduated drawers. The framework to the drawer surrounds having the early feature of a channeled bead applied. All apart from one of the shaped bracket feet are original. The clean oak drawer linings are original.
