Description

A George III period, chest of drawers, Circa 1800. This well proportioned chest of drawers is constructed in solid mahogany with oak linings. With oblong shaped top with moulded edge and cornice. Over straight front, bank of drawers configured 2 small drawers over 3 full width drawers, all graduated in height, with cock-beaded edges, strung inlaid border on the front, brass handles, escutcheons, locks and working key. All raised on bracket feet.

A very handsome chest of drawers, of above average size. Some restoration, in good condition, ready for use.

Dimensions:

This chest of drawers measures approximately 103 cm (40.5") tall, 122.5 cm (48.25") wide, and 55.25 cm (21.75") deep.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This chest of drawers is in a good condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally very sound and sturdy. Some marks and blemishes, in keeping with age and use. A repair to the right side, see pictures. Working key. In good working order, very serviceable and ready to use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
