Silver Limit pocket watch, chain and dog locket.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Limit name, Limit were importers of watches into the UK, and they were based in Oldham in Lancashire, UK. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are Birmingham hallmarks inside the two case backs for 1919 with the case maker’s mark for the Dennison Watch Case Company. The case is in good condition, just light surface marking and a couple of mild bruises to the outer edge but nothing too serious at all.

The acrylic lens is in nice condition with only minor marking, nothing serious at all.

The white enamel dial is in nice condition with original gold hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch comes with a double chain with each chain measuring 23cm long including the T-bar and clasp. Also included is a silver locket with an image of a hunting dog on one side and initials to the other. The hallmarks are difficult to read but appear to be Birmingham 1884.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
