French Oak Dresser Base C.1790

18th century
Description

Late 18th.c. French oak dresser base c.1790. Unusual flat panelled top over three cupboard doors each fitted with a single shelf inside (internal depth 16), plus a useful drawer in the middle cupboard. Charming and unusual pierced upper door panels carved to resemble basket weave. Raised and fielded lower panels and broad moulded surround. Original hinges, escutcheon plates locks and keys. Shaped and moulded apron and feet. Raised and fielded panel sides. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
