The quality is fantastic, this is very well made and heavy for its size.
There is a hinged locking panel that keeps the drawers shut, typical of a Victorian period Wellington chest. The handles are more unusual, they are typical of the Art Deco period.
We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.
