Art Deco sculpture from the 1920s and 1930s typically features sleek lines, stylised human forms, dynamic movement, and influences from avant-garde theatre, dance, and global cultures.

Authentic period pieces frequently utilized cold-painted bronze, brass, or spelter mounted on multi-coloured marble or onyx bases, often incorporating chryselephantine techniques combining metal and carved bone or ivory.

Authenticity is determined by examining casting quality, chisel work on the metal surface, foundry marks or artist signatures, natural patination, and the construction style of the marble or onyx plinth.

Position the sculpture as a focal point on a mantelpiece, bookshelf, or sideboard where its metallic sheen and sculptural silhouette contrast sharply against clean, minimalist backgrounds.

Dust gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth and avoid using chemical polishes, abrasives, or water, as these can strip the original patina and damage the porous stone base.
