Description

Delightful little early 19th.c. Welsh oak potboard dresser base c.1810. Unusual small size, just 57½" long. Two plank top with a good moulded edge. Over an unusual configuration of five drawers arranged around the raised centre. Cockbeaded drawer fronts retaining the original brass handles with lovely oak leaf and acorn detail to the back plates. Straight apron with shaped brackets at the corners. Raised on straight stiles front and rear joined with a useful potboard display shelf with thumb moulded edges and a plate groove at the rear edge. With an old repaired split to the front right hand edge. Otherwise excellent condition and particularly good colour. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
