Description

Impressive French marble top bow front sideboard c.1910. Superb 1¼" thick marble top with a shaped and moulded front edge. Over four drawers (the side drawer hinged at the corners) and a two door centre cupboard fitted with a single shelf (internal depth 19½"). Flanked with separate curved cupboards at either side. Beautifully figured and symmetrically arranged burr elm veneers with contrasting inlaid detail and mahogany crossbanding. Large decorative laurel wreath pattern brass mounts to the fronts of the curved side drawers. Brass handles and further brass mounts, mouldings and escutcheons. Raised on turned feet. Oak linings to the drawers and cupboards. Two small filled holes in the marble. Otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
