Description

An elegant and early commode, this is an 18th century piece with three drawers and a shaped, removable white marble top with grey veining. The three drawer fronts have brass stringing, which is also present around the panels at the sides, and there is a brass band around the piece below the top drawer. With fluted corner edges, the chest sits on tapered legs which finish in brass feet. An attractive set of drawers, this is a true antique and will make a good storage piece for any room.

In good condition for its age and 250 years of use. The locks are present, although no key is available. There are some small chips around the edges of the marble and some light scratches on the top, but these are minor, smoothed with use and and not out of character for a piece of this age. There is a knot hole in the side of one of the drawers.
