Mahogany Chest of Drawers C.1810

19th century
Description

Handsome George III mahogany chest of drawers c.1810. Veneered top with a simple thumb moulded edge. Over two short and three long drawers of graduated height. Book matched flame mahogany veneers arranged in a striking pattern across the front. Cockbeaded drawer fronts with replacement period brass handles, oak drawer sides. Moulded trim around the base, shaped apron and legs to the front and sides. Solid mahogany sides. Some old wear to the top and sides. Otherwise very good condition with particularly good colour to the front. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
