Description

Elegant late C18th George III period mahogany etagere of unusual format.

Tall 4-tier etagere fitted 2 frieze drawers above a cupboard door base . The single shaped-panel cupboard door enclosing a pull-out sliding wine-rack or cellarette with 6 bottle apertures.

‘Gun-barrel’ turned uprights and surmounted with turned ‘bee-hive’ style finials. The drawers and cupboard door with ebony string inlaid edges .

Raised on shaped and outswept bracket feet to the front . Fitted all original turned mahogany knob pulls to the drawers , the cupboard fitted with a working lock and key .

In excellent original condition with a rich colour and patina, has been cleaned and waxed in our workshops . No damage , repairs or splits.
