Here we have a most stunning George III Oak chest of drawers c1770. As you can see the colour and patina does not get any better than this. There is a two plank top with rounded corners and a thumb moulded edge. There is a desirable configuration of two over three drawers. All the drawers have carefully selected quarter sawn fronts and solid Oak linings. The drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and the original brass handles, escutcheons and a thumb moulded edge. There are beautiful capitaled pillars to the sides with fine carved reeded decoration and the whole chest sits on fantastic ogee bracket feet. A stunning original fine quality Oak chest with the best colour and patina we have seen for sometime. Retail condition and ready to use daily. The dimensions are approx 103 cm high 122 cm wide 57 cm deep.
