A wonderful, one off original painted Heals of London antique chest on chest, an Ambrose Heal design, made in 1909 as part of a bedroom suite that was exhibited in 1910 at The Arts & Crafts Exhibition Society. An image of another piece of this suite is shown in Oliver Heals book.
C.C. Central School of Arts & Crafts. In superb condition, this Heals chest on chest comes in two sections and features two short drawers over six, long graduating drawers, all with the original decorations around the drawer edges and a motif to the centre. All the original knob handles are also decorated. The cornice features a lovely painted floral frieze. Made in solid pine and standing on a moulded plinth. An amazing early piece of Heals of London antique bedroom furniture that is totally unique.
