Here we have a most outstanding Welsh Oak dresser c1780. As you can see the dresser has fantastic colour and patina. The dresser is probably from the Breconshire or Brecknockshire region and has a plate rack galleried back and raised sides. The top has a beautiful single plank of Oak and below there are three drawers with beautiful period brass swan neck handles and escutcheons. The outstanding feature of this dresser is the pierced decorative frieze below the drawers which is executed perfectly. There are well turned legs with scribe mark decoration and these are styled to form what are remarkably original feet. The other defining feature is a fully three panelled pot board making the dresser stand out in looks, quality and rarity. There is a single plank to the rear and the dresser is original throughout. A truly stunning example of a fine Welsh Oak dresser in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 187 cm long 45 cm deep 92 cm high.
