Description

Antique silver Longines pocket watch, 1909.

The watch has a 15-jewel stem-winding movement, calibre 18.69N, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Longines wings logo on the regulator, and it carries the Longines calibre number and a serial number of 2,341,029 which dates it back to 1909.

The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has details of medals won at various exhibitions throughout Europe.

The watch measures 48mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is 800 silver and there are Continental marks inside both of the case backs, together with the Ernest Francillon Longines logo.

Overall the case is in good condition, a little scratching by the pin-set button and slight unevenness to the back but not too detrimental.

The acrylic lens in good condition.

The signed dial has some old damage to the edge between 4 and 5 and a faint hairline.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
