.A 1920s Limit half hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a signed stem-winding movement which is working nicely. Limit is a company based in Oldham in the UK who imported Swiss movements from Thommen. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50.5mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Empress model made by the American Watch Case Company. The case has light surface marking from use but overall it is in nice condition for a 1920s piece. The front cover has a small lens surrounded by blue enamel filled Roman numerals.

The winding crown pushes in to release the front cover. Inside the glass lens is in nice condition. The outer glass lens is also in nice condition.

The signed white enamel dial is in nice condition. Note the special hour hand for half hunter watches, so that the hands can be distinguished between when the front cover is closed.

The watch has its original blued steel hands.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
