A wonderfully bold and solid Charles II Oak Chest of Drawers of super colour and patina retaining incredibly solid, and clean original Oak drawer linings with amazingly no shrinkage to the drawer bottoms. The Chest has some great deeply moulded sections including that of the base which is of huge concave section. Interesting to see that the mouldings to the front have been returned round the ends on the corners, this gives added appeal to the overall look of this imposing piece. In very good original condition with original feet, the handles replaced in keeping with the period and fitted through the same holes as the originals, locks original. Really nice clean dry original panelled back.
