M Lees and Sons has dated this piece to the 1850s.
A further frieze drawer above separated by a moulded surround, with a separate lock , below a stepped architecturally-inspired moulding, and having a flat , polished top .

The drawers fronts of well-figured ‘fiddle-back’ mahogany all fitted with their original turned knob pulls. The base with a plinth base , the whole raised on short block feet .
Superb quality throughout,of practical proportions and scale offering capacious storage . One drawer front with a minor lateral shrinkage crack. Panelled back.
In excellent original condition with a rich colour and patina.
