Antique Waltham Traveler pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a 7 jewel stem-winding Traveler grade movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 20,603,850 which dates it back to 1916. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for Birmingham 1917, with a case maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison. Dennisons was an English watch case manufacturer, and supplier to Waltham UK.

The case is in good condition, just light surface marks, nothing too detrimental at all.

The glass lens is in good condition, just one small chip to the underneath at the edge, barely noticeable to the naked eye.

The signed dial has a couple of short hairlines beneath the subsidiary seconds dial but you have to look quite carefully to see them. Other than that, the dial is in lovely condition.

The watch comes with a single silver chain hallmarked for 1897. Each of the graduated links has the silver lion mark. There is also a silver vesta case hallmarked for 1903. There are a few little “dings” and bruises.

The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
