Gents Eterna Wrist Watch, 1943.

The watch has a hand-winding movement which is working nicely. This is the calibre 520 which was the first Eterna calibre for gents wrist watches. You will see in the photos that there are some empty retaining screw holes… these screws are not required in this instance because of the shaped case. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 3,028,256 dates it back to 1943.

The watch measures 30mm wide excluding the winding crown and 30mm high excluding the lugs so it would suit a slimmer wrist. The case is Denisteel, made by the Birmingham based watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The front of the case is in good condition. The back of the watch has an indentation and some surface marking, and the name Derek.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial feuille shaped hands in a blued steel finish, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
