Description

Very good early 19th century French Directoire “enfilade” or sideboard in fruitwood, circa 1820 and in lovely original condition with the best colour I have seen on one of these for quite some time.

The enfilade is made in solid chestnut and cherrywood, the panelled sides, doors and the elongated diamond carved relief to the drawers is classic of the Directoire style.

Wonderful colour and patina, lightly cleaned and beeswax polished so it has a lovely mellow glow.

Gives you very useful storage with the three cupboards and drawers above, but without compromising on style!

Shown with some example lamps (my own range of handmade dark Java bamboo lights) to give an idea of proportions, but not included in the price!
