Description

A fine example of an early 19th century teak military or campaigne chest of drawers. Smaller than average at just 34 inches wide, in two parts.

This fine piece is in excellent, original 'Country House condition' with the odd scuff, bruise, dent and scrape as would be expected with almost two huindred years of age. (We can bring it into showroom condition for you if required at a cost of £200 plus VAT).

Uniusually the top of the lower half is also polished, so was obviosly commissioned to possibly be used as two separate pieces. (There are marks where old securing screws have marked this usually unseen surface. also there is a scrape along the left hand side of the lower half, where is has been up against something.
