Gents 1951 Bulova Ashford wrist watch.

The watch has a 17-jewel calibre 10BT hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The calibre 10BT was in production from 1950 until 1954, this particular movement has the date code for 1951. The movement is fully signed.

The watch measures 29mm excluding the winding crown and the very stylish knotted lugs. Although originally designed as a man’s watch, it is on the small side by today’s standards. The case is 10ct gold plated and the case also carries the date code for 1951. There is a little rubbing to the plate, mainly to the back, but nothing serious at all.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in its original with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and minute markers. There is some raised freckling across the dial and a shade or two of darkening but it has the most charming appearance.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
