Description

1930s Drusus full hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a little scratching and a slight indentation.

The watch measures 53mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold filled and is handsomely patterned to both the front and the back. The inside of the case back is signed Drusus, a name registered in 1912 by Paul Drusenbaum, a watch manufacturer and wholesaler based in Pforzheim, Germany. The inside of the case back has the bull or buffalo trademark for the watch case manufacturer Gustav Rau, also of Pforzheim.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, the lens is in lovely condition.

The dial, originally left blank for the retailer to add their details, is in lovely condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
